XFX Unveils Radeon RX 7900 GRE and RX 7800 XT Phoenix Nirvana GPUs in Striking White
Graphics card enthusiasts have something new to get excited about as XFX announces a fresh look for its renowned custom Phoenix Nirvana design. Now incorporated into their AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE and RX 7800 XT GPUs, these models boast a sleek white color scheme, offering a refreshing visual alternative for custom PC builds.
The launch of the Phoenix Nirvana white variants represents a stylish addition to XFX’s product line. Initially, the focus was on the higher-end Radeon RX 7900 XTX cards. However, with the introduction of the Radeon RX 7900 GRE and RX 7800 XT in white, XFX extends the premium design to the mid-to-high range GPU market.
The white models echo the same structural design as their black counterparts. While the Phoenix Nirvana black models featured red RGB accents at the front, the white versions embrace a more subtle and clean aesthetic, free from contrasting color highlights.
Considering the dimensions, the XFX Radeon RX 7900 GRE and RX 7800 XT Phoenix Nirvana white GPUs measure 33.7 cm in length, 13.2 cm in width, and 5.9 cm in thickness. The primary alteration lies within the upgraded cooling system. The new white variants come equipped with the “Ghost Thermal 4.0” design, comprised of 216 aluminum fins, eight 6 mm copper heat pipes, and an expansive vacuum vapor chamber baseplate, which efficiently dissipates heat from the GPU and VRAM. Furthermore, the fans are magnetically attached, facilitating easy maintenance and cleaning without the need for tools.
The cooling solution isn’t just for show; the improved thermal management allows the Radeon RX 7900 GRE to run with slightly increased clock speeds of 2394 MHz, providing a performance edge over its stock speed counterpart. The Radeon RX 7800 XT, on the other hand, maintains the standard clock speeds, ensuring a reliable and stable gaming experience.
These sophisticated GPUs from XFX stand toe-to-toe with top-tier offerings in the market, such as ASUS’s ROG Strix series, in terms of both design and performance capabilities.
As for the cost, the XFX Radeon RX 7900 GRE Phoenix Nirvana White variant is priced at approximately 4299 RMB ($670), and the Radeon RX 7800 XT model at about 4099 RMB ($640). These prices are currently relevant to consumers within China as international availability has not yet been confirmed.
