Fans of the dark reimagining of the Hundred Acre Wood inhabitants have something new to look forward to as the sequel to “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey” releases a new trailer, offering a glimpse of Tigger who joins the frenzy in the latest installment.
Directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield, known for the original movie, the sequel promises to sustain the gritty rendition of the beloved story. Furthermore, the director is also reportedly working on a similarly edgy “Peter Pan” film.
The trailer invites viewers to yet another twist on classic public domain characters, with “Blood and Honey” seen as a pioneer following “Winnie-the-Pooh’s” transition into the public domain. Other iconic characters, such as Mickey Mouse in the form of “Steamboat Willie,” are also receiving a horror makeover, with an announcement coming shortly after the property entered the public domain.
