Blizzard is bringing hellish crossover energy to mobile RPG fans with Diablo Immortal x DOOM: The Dark Ages, a limited-time event called The Slayers Reign. Running from April 16 through May 13, the collaboration adds DOOM-inspired combat, new rewards, themed cosmetics, and a dedicated event mode that puts players face-to-face with one of DOOM’s most iconic nightmares.
At the center of the crossover is a revamped limited-time mode: Slayer’s Bane, based on Survivor’s Bane but redesigned to feel faster, tougher, and more aggressive. For the duration of the event, players gain access to six Slayer-inspired skills drawn from DOOM’s signature arsenal. Blizzard is spotlighting abilities and weapons like the Shield Saw, Dreadmace, and the Super Shotgun, with a clear focus on momentum-driven gameplay. The idea is to keep moving, keep chaining skills, and turn relentless pressure into bigger damage.
The enemies also lean hard into DOOM territory. Players can expect to run into threats like Imps, and the big headline encounter is the Cyberdemon, positioned as Slayer’s Bane’s main boss fight. The crossover framing is simple and effective: you’re temporarily powered up with Slayer-themed abilities, and you’ll need that extra edge to bring down the event’s major showdown.
Beyond the mode itself, the event introduces a new 2-Star Legendary Gem called The Crucible. Blizzard’s description emphasizes an execution-style mechanic: it damages enemies under a certain health threshold by triggering Slaughter, and the effect becomes more punishing as the target’s health drops further. Defeating enemies shortly after Slaughter activates grants Slayer’s Rage, which boosts damage and movement speed—and it can stack, encouraging players to stay aggressive and keep the kills rolling.
Cosmetics are a major part of The Slayers Reign as well. Players can collect Sentinel Forged Armory weapon cosmetics, while the Phantom Market: Ruthless Hellwalker set delivers DOOM-inspired armor shaped around the Slayer’s look. The event also adds Serrat and Cacodemon familiar transmogs, letting players push the crossover theme even further.
For anyone planning to jump in, Blizzard is also offering free event rewards for logging in and playing during the crossover window. The list includes The Crucible Legendary Gem, Legendary Crests, Crests, an Emoji, Set Gear, and Sentinel Forged Armory weapon cosmetics. With a full limited-time mode, a featured boss fight, and a meaningful set of rewards, The Slayers Reign aims to be more than a quick skin drop—especially for Diablo Immortal players looking for a fresh reason to grind between April 16 and May 13.
