Wacom Introduces MovinkPad: A Portable 11.45-Inch Drawing Tablet on Android for Creatives

Wacom has introduced the MovinkPad, a portable drawing tablet designed for artists, priced at $449.95. This all-in-one device boasts an 11.45-inch display with a resolution of 2200 x 1440 pixels. The screen supports 10-finger multi-touch input and offers a vivid experience with 99% coverage of the sRGB color space, a contrast ratio of 1200:1, and a brightness of 400 cd/m². To ensure comfort during long drawing sessions, the display has anti-glare and anti-fingerprint coatings.

The MovinkPad includes the Wacom Pro Pen 3, which offers 8,192 levels of pressure sensitivity, 5,080 lines per inch resolution, and a 60-degree tilt angle range. Thanks to Wacom’s electromagnetic resonance technology, the pen functions without needing batteries or charging. Users can also purchase a variety of optional nibs and Wacom-compatible pens to adjust the pen’s feel on the screen.

Running on a Mediatek Helio G99 processor with Android 14, the tablet is equipped with 8 GB of memory and 128 GB of storage. It features Bluetooth 5.2 and 802.11ac Wi-Fi connectivity. The Wacom UX interface offers easy access to Wacom Canvas, a virtual sketchbook, perfect for capturing creative ideas on the go. A 2-year license for Clip Studio Paint Debut is included, and the Wacom Shelf gives artists the ability to view artwork stored on the device in various formats like bmp, jpeg, and png.

Weighing just 588 grams (1.3 pounds) and measuring 266 x 182 x 7 mm, the MovinkPad is truly portable. It comes with a 5 MP front camera, a 4.7 MP rear camera, dual microphones, stereo speakers, an e-compass, a G-sensor, and an ambient light sensor. Its 7,700 mAh battery ensures long hours of creative work and can be recharged via a USB-C power source.

For artists requiring a device that can run full professional software like Adobe Photoshop or Corel Painter, a Microsoft Surface Pro equipped with an Intel CPU might be a more suitable choice.
