Vivo Y600 5G Launch Set for October 30 With Massive 10,000mAh Battery
Vivo is preparing to launch the Vivo Y600 5G in China, and the phone is already gaining attention for one major reason: its enormous 10,000mAh battery. The company has confirmed that pre-orders will begin on October 26, followed by the official sale date on October 30.
The Vivo Y600 will join Vivo’s growing Y600 lineup, which already includes models such as the Y600 Pro and Y600i. However, this new model appears to be focused heavily on long-lasting battery performance, making it a potential option for users who want a smartphone that can keep going for hours without constantly reaching for a charger.
The biggest highlight is Vivo’s 10,000mAh Blue Ocean battery. According to Vivo’s promotional details, the Y600 completed a continuous livestream test that lasted 32 hours and 37 minutes. This achievement was recognized by Guinness World Records as the longest electronic product testing livestream.
That record gives the Vivo Y600 a strong marketing edge, especially at a time when battery life has become one of the most important features for smartphone buyers. A 10,000mAh battery is significantly larger than what is found in most mainstream phones, which typically range between 4,500mAh and 6,000mAh.
Vivo has shown the Y600 in white and blue color options. The device appears to feature a flat-frame design and a dual rear camera setup. The camera island confirms a 50MP main camera with an aspherical lens, though Vivo has not yet revealed full camera details.
The Vivo Y600 is also believed to be closely related to the Vivo S2 FE in India and the Vivo V80 Lite 5G in Malaysia. All three models are associated with the same device code, V2626. Guinness World Records also lists the S2 FE and V80 Lite 5G as regional names connected to the device used in the record-setting livestream test.
Even so, Vivo has not confirmed whether the Chinese Vivo Y600 will have exactly the same specifications as the versions available in other markets. Smartphone makers often adjust hardware, charging speeds, memory options, or software features depending on the region.
For comparison, the Indian Vivo S2 FE comes with a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a MediaTek Dimensity 7300e processor. It also includes a 50MP main rear camera, a 32MP front camera, a 10,000mAh battery, and 44W wired charging.
If the Vivo Y600 shares similar specifications, it could be positioned as a large-battery 5G smartphone with a high-refresh-rate AMOLED screen and dependable daily performance. However, Vivo has not yet confirmed the complete specification sheet for the China model.
Another related device, the Vivo Y600 Pro, offers a slightly larger 10,200mAh battery, a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and 90W charging. The standard Y600 has a slightly smaller battery, but its charging speed has not been officially announced.
The upcoming Vivo Y600 could appeal to users who prioritize battery life for streaming, gaming, travel, work, and daily multitasking. With its 10,000mAh capacity, the phone may offer multi-day usage depending on software optimization, display settings, and network conditions.
Vivo has not yet revealed the Y600’s pricing, RAM and storage options, or plans for global availability. More details are expected closer to the October 30 sales launch in China.
