Vivo is expanding its mid-range lineup with two new arrivals, the Vivo Y31 and Y31 Pro. Both aim to deliver long battery life, smooth displays, and reliable cameras at wallet-friendly prices, with just enough differences to help you pick the right fit.
The Y31 Pro gets a subtle design update with a slightly larger camera island and a dual rear camera setup: a 50 MP main sensor paired with a 2 MP depth sensor. Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300, matched with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. There’s no microSD slot, but you do get a generous 6,500 mAh battery with 44 W wired charging to keep you going. The Pro also steps up the viewing experience with a 6.72-inch LCD display offering a 2408 x 1080 resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gaming, and up to 1050 nits of peak brightness. It ships with Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. The brand hasn’t shared its software support roadmap yet.
The standard Vivo Y31 takes a different approach this year by switching to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, a change from the MediaTek chips used in models like the Y29. It comes with up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of non-expandable storage, plus a 50 MP primary camera for everyday photos. The 6,500 mAh battery returns here as well, and the phone adds practical touches such as IP68/IP69 ingress protection and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for quick unlocking.
Prices keep both models firmly in the value segment. The Vivo Y31 starts at INR 14,999 (approximately $170), while the Y31 Pro is priced at INR 18,999 (around $215). Color options are fresh and stylish: the Y31 is offered in rose red and diamond green, and the Y31 Pro comes in mocha brown and dreamy white. Both devices are available through the brand’s official channels and authorized retailers.
