Vivo has officially locked in the launch date for its next big flagship, the Vivo X300 Ultra. The phone is set to debut on March 30 in China, and it’s being positioned as the most premium model in the Vivo X300 series. Ahead of the announcement, Vivo has started confirming the upgrades that will define the X300 Ultra, and the early details point to a major step up in performance, display tech, and overall user experience.
At the heart of the Vivo X300 Ultra is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a high-end Qualcomm chipset built on a 3nm process. That choice signals a clear focus on flagship-level speed and efficiency, setting expectations for top-tier gaming performance, smoother multitasking, and improved power management compared with the previous generation.
The display is also getting a noticeable boost. Vivo has confirmed a 2K screen paired with a 144Hz refresh rate, up from the 120Hz refresh rate seen on the Vivo X200 Ultra. For users, this typically translates to sharper visuals and extra fluid motion, whether you’re scrolling, watching high-resolution content, or playing fast-paced games.
While Vivo hasn’t shared the exact battery size yet, it has confirmed charging capabilities that remain firmly in flagship territory. The X300 Ultra will support 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging, aiming to deliver quick top-ups and convenient cable-free charging for daily use.
Design-wise, Vivo says the phone measures 8.19mm thick, suggesting it’s keeping a relatively sleek profile despite the premium hardware inside. Vivo is also highlighting quality-of-life upgrades that many users will actually feel day to day, including a new speaker system and an upgraded haptic engine for more satisfying vibration feedback. There’s also a quad-microphone setup, which should help with clearer voice pickup during calls, recordings, and video capture.
Camera hardware remains one of the biggest talking points. Vivo has previously confirmed a triple rear camera setup led by a 200MP primary sensor, alongside a 200MP periscope telephoto lens for long-range zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide camera for expansive shots. With specs like these, the X300 Ultra is clearly aiming at the high end of mobile photography, covering everything from detailed main shots to serious zoom and wide-angle versatility.
Vivo isn’t stopping with just one device either. The same launch event will also introduce the Vivo X300s and the Vivo Pad 6 Pro, making March 30 a packed announcement for fans of Vivo phones and tablets alike.
