Vivo Unveils Massive 10,000mAh Smartphone With Smooth 120Hz AMOLED Display

Vivo Y600 debuts with a massive 10,000mAh battery, 120Hz AMOLED display, and 5G support

Vivo has officially introduced the Vivo Y600 in China, expanding its affordable Y600 lineup with a new model built for users who want long battery life, a smooth display, and modern 5G performance without paying flagship prices.

The biggest attraction of the Vivo Y600 is its enormous 10,000mAh battery. This is far larger than what most mainstream smartphones offer, making the device especially appealing for heavy users, travelers, mobile gamers, and anyone who dislikes charging their phone frequently. According to Vivo, the phone can deliver up to 28 hours of long-form video playback under laboratory testing conditions.

For charging, the Vivo Y600 supports 44W wired fast charging. While it does not include wireless charging, the large battery capacity and relatively fast wired charging should make it a practical choice for everyday use.

The display is another strong point. The Vivo Y600 features a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with a 2,800 x 1,260 pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. That means users can expect smoother scrolling, more fluid animations, and a better viewing experience when watching videos or playing supported games. Vivo also lists a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, which should help improve outdoor visibility.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset. This 6nm octa-core processor is paired with a Mali-G610 GPU and is designed to deliver efficient 5G performance for daily tasks, streaming, social media, and casual gaming. The phone is available with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, giving buyers several configuration options depending on their needs.

On the back, the Vivo Y600 keeps things simple with a single 50MP rear camera featuring an f/1.8 aperture and autofocus. For selfies and video calls, the phone includes an 8MP front-facing camera. While the camera setup is not as advanced as some multi-camera phones, the main sensor should be suitable for everyday photography.

Durability is another highlight. The Vivo Y600 comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, offering stronger protection than many budget-friendly smartphones. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, and 5G connectivity.

The Vivo Y600 runs OriginOS 6 based on Android, giving users Vivo’s latest software experience in China. The phone is available in three color options: Sapphire Blue, Diamond Gold, and Obsidian Black. Depending on the color variant, it weighs either 224g or 225g.

Vivo Y600 pricing in China starts at CNY 1,999, which is approximately $299, for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model. The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version is priced at CNY 2,099, or around $314. Buyers who want more storage can choose the 6GB RAM and 256GB model for CNY 2,199, roughly $329, while the top 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version costs CNY 2,499, or about $374.

Pre-orders for the Vivo Y600 are already open in China, with official sales scheduled to begin on October 30.

With its huge 10,000mAh battery, bright 120Hz AMOLED display, 5G chipset, water resistance, and competitive pricing, the Vivo Y600 is positioned as an attractive option for users looking for a long-lasting smartphone at an affordable price.
