Vivo is getting ready to shake up the mid-range smartphone market with the upcoming Vivo Y600 Pro, and its biggest talking point is impossible to ignore: a massive 10,200 mAh battery designed for people who are tired of constantly hunting for a charger.
Vivo says this huge battery can deliver up to 16.7 days of standby time. Even under demanding use, the company claims you can expect around 12 hours of battery life at high load, which suggests it’s built to handle gaming, heavy multitasking, and long streaming sessions without quickly draining. When it finally does need a refill, Vivo states the Y600 Pro can charge from empty to full in about 80 minutes using a 90W USB‑C fast charger, aiming to balance extreme capacity with practical charging speeds. Vivo also promises strong long-term durability, claiming the battery should maintain usability for at least six years.
Beyond battery life, the Vivo Y600 Pro is positioned as a durable all-rounder. The body carries both IP68 and IP69 certifications, meaning it’s built to handle water exposure and tougher real-world conditions than many phones in its class. That makes it a potentially great fit for commuters, outdoor users, or anyone who wants a more rugged daily driver without jumping to a premium flagship.
On the front, Vivo is expected to include a large 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a sharp 1.5K resolution, a combination that should help with crisp text, smooth media consumption, and more immersive scrolling and gaming. For selfies and video calls, the phone is said to feature a 32-megapixel front camera.
Powering the device will reportedly be a new MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset, which should focus on efficient performance for everyday speed while helping manage power consumption—an important pairing with such a large battery. At least one configuration is expected to offer 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, giving plenty of room for apps, photos, and downloads, while also supporting fast multitasking.
Software-wise, the Vivo Y600 Pro is expected to ship with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, bringing the latest Android foundation out of the box. More details about the full specs, features, and potentially additional variants are expected to be confirmed by the phone’s launch, scheduled for April 27.
