Vivo is leaning hard into camera-first features with its upcoming X300 Ultra, and the latest official details should be welcome news for anyone already invested in the brand’s photography accessories.
One of the biggest highlights is accessory compatibility. Vivo has confirmed that the X300 Ultra’s camera cage is cross-compatible with the X300 Pro, meaning users won’t necessarily need to rebuy the cage if they own (or plan to buy) both models. Vivo has also shown that the X300 Ultra can be paired with existing 2.35x teleconverters, reinforcing the idea that the company is building a more consistent, upgrade-friendly imaging ecosystem.
That said, there’s still one unanswered question that many mobile photography fans will care about: it’s not yet clear whether Vivo’s new 4.7x teleconverter will also work with the X200 Ultra or the X300 Pro. For now, Vivo has only confirmed teleconverter support in a way that protects existing 2.35x owners, while the new 4.7x accessory’s broader compatibility remains uncertain.
Beyond hardware add-ons, Vivo is also positioning the X300 Ultra as a serious video phone. The company has confirmed 4K video recording at 120fps, with support for Dolby Vision as well as 10-bit D-Log. That combination is aimed at users who want smoother slow-motion options while keeping higher-end color and grading flexibility for editing.
On the camera hardware side, Vivo says all rear cameras on the X300 Ultra will feature optical image stabilization (OIS). This is a practical upgrade for real-world shooting, helping with handheld photos in low light and reducing shake in video across multiple lenses rather than limiting stabilization to only the main camera.
Charging is another area where the X300 Ultra is set to compete aggressively. TÜV Rheinland has confirmed global support for 100W wired charging, which could be a meaningful advantage for buyers who prioritize fast top-ups and minimal downtime.
For now, Vivo hasn’t shared an exact release date for the X300 Ultra. Still, with confirmed 4K/120 Dolby Vision video, 10-bit D-Log, OIS across all rear cameras, and accessory cross-compatibility, it’s shaping up to be a flagship designed for creators, camera enthusiasts, and power users who want a device built around imaging performance and fast charging.
