The gaming monitor landscape just got a bit more competitive with the unveiling of the ViewSonic VX2776-2K-PRO. This 27-inch gaming monitor introduces a fast IPS panel featuring a remarkable 185Hz refresh rate combined with a crisp 2K resolution. Targeted at the Chinese market, this monitor is priced at approximately CNY 1,599, which translates to around $225.
ViewSonic’s latest offering stands out in its segment particularly due to its high refresh rate. For context, a comparable 27-inch gaming monitor from Asus TUF Gaming offers up to a 165Hz refresh rate and is priced at $309 on Amazon, demonstrating the VX2776-2K-PRO’s competitive edge.
The new monitor caters to the demands of high-stakes gaming with a 1ms response rate, ideal for fast-paced eSports titles. Advanced features, such as “non-flicker technology” and “dark picture compensation,” are also included to provide players with a competitive advantage. While the brightness specifics remain undisclosed, the ViewSonic VX2776-2K-PRO is equipped with Vesa Certified HDR, enhancing the viewing experience with vivid and dynamic highlights.
Moreover, adaptive sync technology is integrated to minimize issues like screen tearing and frame rate stuttering, ensuring smoother gameplay. The monitor is also designed with convenience in mind, offering customized display presets which adjust the visuals automatically based on the game genre.
When it comes to connectivity, the VX2776-2K-PRO is well-equipped, featuring one DP 1.2 port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and two HDMI 2.0 ports. Although details on a global release are yet to be announced, ViewSonic does offer other monitors within the VX2776 series and a variety of gaming monitors for international markets, such as the OMNI VX2718-P-MHD, which is currently priced at $149.99 on Amazon.
Gamers in the market for a new monitor will find ViewSonic’s VX2776-2K-PRO to be a strong contender, particularly given its competitive price point and high-performance features designed to enhance the gaming experience.
