Casio has quietly stirred up excitement among watch collectors with the appearance of an ultra-limited G-Shock: the GM-6900CCC-3. This newly revealed model is built on the popular G-Steel GM-6900 platform, a rugged digital watch line known for its shock resistance and everyday practicality, but this version takes exclusivity to another level.
The GM-6900CCC-3 was recently spotted in an unboxing video shared by Hypebeast on Instagram, giving fans their first real look at the watch’s premium, statement-making design. At a glance, it carries a similar vibe to the older GM-6900G-9, but the details set it apart. The watch features a gold-toned bezel and matching case, paired with a coordinating metal clasp and strap loop. The strap itself is dark green resin with a camouflage pattern, creating a bold contrast against the gold hardware. Completing the look is a black-background digital display that keeps the face clean, modern, and easy to read.
One of the biggest talking points is the bezel material. It appears to be made from Cobarion, a high-performance metal alloy said to be stronger than stainless steel, while offering a glossy, platinum-like shine. If accurate, that choice helps explain why this model feels more like a collector’s piece than a standard release.
Beyond the looks, the GM-6900CCC-3 keeps the core feature set that has made the GM-6900 series a favorite. You get a stopwatch, countdown timer, alarm, and hourly time signal support, along with the signature Triple Graph layout. It also includes a fully automatic calendar and a backlight for visibility in low light. As with many classic G-Shocks, durability remains central: it’s water resistant to 200 meters and is estimated to deliver around two years of battery life.
What truly makes the Casio G-Shock GM-6900CCC-3 headline-worthy is how rare it is. Reports suggest that only ten units exist. Rather than being sold through normal retail channels, these watches are expected to be gifted to “key individuals” worldwide—making it one of the most exclusive modern G-Shock releases in recent memory. Casio has not confirmed who will receive them, which only adds to the mystery and collector buzz.
For fans of limited edition watches, premium G-Shock collaborations, and rare Casio releases, the GM-6900CCC-3 is the kind of drop that instantly becomes a conversation piece—whether or not it ever becomes available to the public.
