The anticipation for the Muse Wearables Ring One continues as most backers of the innovative health-tracking smart ring will need to wait until 2025 to receive their orders. Originally backed by a successful Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign launched in October 2023, the Ring One attracted significant interest and nearly $1.7 million in funds from over 7,500 supporters.
The Ring One is packed with features poised to revolutionize health tracking, including cuffless blood pressure monitoring and contactless payment capabilities. Initial promises suggested that supporters would receive their rings by December 2023. Unfortunately, as with many crowdfunded projects, the timeline has been repeatedly pushed back.
Recently, Muse Wearables announced they had dispatched 500 units intended for backers in India, with an expected arrival by November 7th. However, reports confirming the arrival of these units are yet to surface on social media or elsewhere. Following this initial shipment, there will be a brief pause as the company collects user feedback and refines the software.
The company has assured “superbackers” that their orders should ship by December 13th, while the remaining orders are likely to see delivery in early 2025. Given the lack of updates and the successive delays, some backers have taken to social media to express concerns, speculating whether this might all lead to an elaborate disappointment.
For those considering a smart ring purchase and unwilling to wait, alternatives like the Oura Ring 4, available on platforms like Amazon, offer an appealing option. It remains unknown if Muse Wearables will meet their revised timeline, but many eyes will be on the company as the new year approaches.
