Timex Serves Up a Playful Collab Watch With a Spinning Tennis Ball Hand

Timex Snoopy Tennis Watch Opens for Pre-Order With a Rotating Tennis Ball Seconds Hand

Timex has quietly opened pre-orders for a charming new Peanuts collaboration that puts Snoopy back in the spotlight. The Peanuts x Timex Marlin 1965 Reissue Inspired Snoopy Tennis watch is now listed at $219, bringing vintage styling, playful dial artwork, and a rotating tennis ball seconds hand into one compact 34 mm package.

The model, listed as TW2Y12500, celebrates Snoopy as “The World-Famous Tennis Player.” On the dial, the beloved Peanuts character is shown mid-serve against a denim-print background, giving the watch a casual, retro-sporty look. The standout detail is the moving tennis ball, which replaces a traditional seconds hand and circles the dial as time passes.

The watch features a polished gold-tone stainless steel case measuring 34 mm wide and around 10 mm thick. It comes with 18 mm lugs and weighs approximately 33 grams, making it a lightweight option for everyday wear. Timex pairs the case with an acrylic crystal, a material commonly used across its vintage-inspired Marlin and Q collections. While acrylic can scratch more easily than mineral or sapphire glass, it also helps preserve the classic domed look and can often be polished back to clarity.

The Snoopy Tennis Marlin 1965 Reissue uses a quartz movement, though Timex has not listed the exact caliber. It also offers 30 meters of water resistance, which means it is suitable for light splashes and hand-washing, but not intended for swimming or extended water exposure.

Completing the design is a denim fabric strap with quick-release spring bars, allowing for easier strap changes. The strap is designed to fit wrists from 150 mm to 205 mm, making it suitable for a wide range of wearers.

This quartz Snoopy Tennis model launched alongside two other Peanuts x Timex Marlin watches. Those versions are hand-wound mechanical models, including a limited 500-piece edition with a numbered caseback and another version with a green dial. By comparison, the TW2Y12500 keeps the same playful tennis theme but is not mechanical and is not numbered, which is important for collectors to note.

With its 1960s-inspired case size, Peanuts artwork, gold-tone finish, and animated tennis ball seconds hand, the Peanuts x Timex Marlin 1965 Reissue Inspired Snoopy Tennis watch stands out as a fun and approachable collectible. It is especially likely to appeal to Snoopy fans, Timex collectors, and anyone looking for a retro watch with personality.
