Noah x Timex Boatswain Watch Arrives With a Vintage Nautical Look and $228 Price
Timex and New York fashion label Noah are back with another collaborative watch, and this time the design takes a quieter, more refined route. The new Noah x Timex Boatswain blends vintage dress-watch styling with subtle nautical details, offering a distinctive look without feeling overly themed.
The Boatswain stands out with its unusual elliptical case, measuring 31 x 35 mm. It is compact, elegant, and noticeably different from the round field-watch style used in Noah and Timex’s previous collaboration. The watch will be available in two versions: stainless steel and gold-tone steel.
At first glance, the dial looks like a classic vintage dress watch. It features an eggshell-colored background, black Roman numerals, and slim pencil-style hands. But the most interesting detail sits closer to the center of the dial: an inner minute track designed to resemble coiled rope. It is a small touch, but it gives the watch its maritime personality in a tasteful way.
Rather than using a large anchor or bold sailing-inspired graphics, the Boatswain keeps the nautical theme understated. That makes it more versatile for everyday wear, especially for buyers who want something with character but not an overly sporty appearance.
The stainless-steel model comes fitted with a brown leather strap, giving it a traditional and slightly casual vintage feel. The gold-tone version is paired with a black leather strap, creating a dressier look. Both models feature an 18 mm lug width, a flat crystal, a small crown, and a quartz movement.
The Noah x Timex Boatswain is priced at $228 and is scheduled to launch on October 15 at 11 a.m. US Eastern time through Noah’s online store. Details such as UK pricing, European availability, production numbers, and water-resistance specifications have not yet been confirmed.
This release follows the Noah x Timex MK1 Anchor, which arrived earlier in the year with a 36 mm field-watch case and a more obvious anchor-inspired design. The new Boatswain is smaller, dressier, and $20 less expensive, making it a more subtle alternative for fans of vintage-inspired watches.
With its oval case, Roman numeral dial, leather strap options, and rope-pattern minute track, the Noah x Timex Boatswain offers a fresh take on affordable retro watch design. For collectors and casual buyers looking for a distinctive quartz watch under $250, this collaboration could be one of the more interesting Timex releases of the season.
