ENGWE has unveiled its latest addition to the urban e-bike landscape, the P275 series. Designed for the premium city biker, the P275 steps up from the E26, offering a “captivating” and sophisticated design complete with a Selle Royal saddle and an air-lifting seat-post. This new series comes in two variations: the step-over (Pro) and step-through (St).
Both models in the P275 line are equipped with a torque sensor, delivering a robust performance – 65 newton-meters for the P275 Pro’s Bafang motor and 70Nm for the St’s Ananda motor. Despite their impressive power, they both have a modest 250W output that supports their remarkable efficiency. Riders can enjoy up to 260 kilometers range in pedal-assist mode, or 150km when using pure electric power, both featuring 5 distinct assistance levels.
In terms of gear systems, the P275 Pro boasts a Bafang 3-level automatic gear-shift paired with a Gates carbon belt, promoting smooth and low-maintenance riding. The St variant, however, opts for a Shimano 9-speed gear setup coupled with a chain, catering to those who prefer traditional cycling gear mechanisms.
Despite housing a removable Samsung 19.2Ah battery, each variant of the P275 series maintains a reasonable weight, not exceeding 33 kilograms. They are capable of supporting a maximum payload of 120kg, ensuring they can handle a wide array of riders and cargo.
When it comes to aesthetics, the P275 Pro is available in sleek black or a black/orange combination, while the St gives riders a slightly larger selection with black, white, and white/orange finishes. Primed for the EU market, these e-bikes adhere to the urban speed regulations, capping their top speeds at 25km/h.
