The highly anticipated sci-fi psychological thriller game, The Alters, developed by 11 bit studios, will now grace our screens a little later than expected. The initial release date set for 2024 has been postponed to 2025, giving players plenty of time to fuel their excitement and anticipation.
When The Alters does finally make its grand entrance, it will be available on Windows PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store, as well as on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. The Alters, inspired by the critically acclaimed game This War of Mine, places players in a relentless struggle for survival where Jan cannot succeed alone. After crash-landing on this dangerous world, with only a burning star for warmth, Jan faces the daunting task of managing a high-tech mobile base meant for a team, despite being on his own.
However, Jan’s fortunes shift upon unearthing Rapidium, a mysterious element unique to this world. With the help of an advanced Quantum Computer onboard, Jan is able to rewrite his past, creating ‘Alters’—alternative versions of himself, each with the power to alter his fate.
