Tesla has reinstated its referral program after a hiatus in the spring, bringing in refreshed incentives aimed at enhancing sales through customer referrals. The revamped program features credits for both the referrer and the buyer, with a notable benefit for those who still have credits from the previous Refer and Earn program—they can now use these remaining credits in the Tesla App before they expire.
The first ten buyers who utilize a referral code will enjoy a $1,000 discount on their next Tesla purchase, applicable to popular models such as the Model Y, Model 3, Model X, and Model S. Meanwhile, the referrers will receive up to ten gift cards with $500 credits each year for every buyer who completes their purchase using their referral code. These credits can be spent on various Tesla-related expenses including Supercharger usage, accessories, options, and even new vehicle purchases or servicing existing ones.
Participants can reap loyalty rewards up to ten times throughout the life of their account and can refer up to ten orders per calendar year. It is crucial to note that referrals need to be made using the customer’s unique referral link before order placement as post-order credits and repeat usage by the same Tesla Account are disallowed.
Currently available in the US, the updated referral program can be accessed through the Tesla App version 4.36.1. Besides the financial incentives, referrers also gain entries into exclusive raffle invitations for upcoming Tesla events, potentially increasing their chances of attending high-profile unveilings, such as the anticipated Robotaxi event scheduled for October 10.
This strategic move not only aims to bolster sales but also to enhance customer engagement and brand loyalty by offering tangible rewards and exclusive experiences.
