TCL’s Massive 98-Inch QM8L Mini LED 4K TV Gets a Huge $3,000 Price Drop Ahead of Black Friday
TCL’s 98-inch QM8L SQD-Mini LED 4K Smart TV is already getting a major early holiday discount, making it one of the most eye-catching big-screen TV deals available right now. Originally priced at $5,999.99, the enormous home theater display has dropped to $2,999.99, cutting the price in half and saving buyers $3,000.
The TCL QM8L series launched earlier this year alongside the QM7L lineup, offering several screen sizes for different rooms and budgets. The 98-inch model sits at the top of the range, designed for viewers who want a cinema-like experience at home without moving to a projector setup.
The standout feature is, of course, the size. A 98-inch 4K TV can completely transform a living room into a home theater, making movies, sports, and games feel far more immersive. However, this is not a TV for tight spaces. Before buying, it is worth making sure you have enough wall or stand space, as well as a proper viewing distance, to enjoy the display comfortably.
The TCL QM8L uses SQD-Mini LED technology with advanced local dimming to improve contrast, deliver deeper blacks, and keep bright highlights looking sharp. TCL also claims up to 6,000 nits of peak brightness, which should make HDR content look especially vivid. The inclusion of Super Quantum Dots helps the TV produce a wide color range, giving movies, shows, and games a richer and more vibrant look.
For movie lovers, the TV supports Dolby Vision, while Dolby Atmos support helps create a more spacious audio experience when paired with compatible content or a sound system. The anti-reflective screen is another useful feature, especially for brighter rooms where glare can often ruin the viewing experience.
Gamers also get a strong feature set. The TCL QM8L includes a 144Hz native refresh rate, which can be boosted up to 288Hz through Game Accelerator. It also supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro to help reduce screen tearing and stuttering during fast-paced gameplay. With four HDMI 2.1 ports, the TV is well-suited for modern gaming consoles, gaming PCs, and other high-bandwidth devices.
The TV runs on Google TV, giving users access to major streaming apps, personalized recommendations, voice control features, and smart home integration. That makes it a complete entertainment hub for streaming, gaming, sports, and everyday viewing.
At $2,999.99, the 98-inch TCL QM8L becomes a much more tempting option for anyone looking for a premium large-screen 4K Mini LED TV. While it is still a big purchase, the $3,000 discount makes this giant display far more competitive, especially for shoppers hoping to upgrade their home theater before Black Friday.
Pricing and availability may change at any time, and the deal could be limited by stock or retailer timing.
