TCL Unveils Stunning T5K 4K QLED TV Featuring Dolby Vision

TCL has introduced its latest 50-inch QLED TV, the T5K, in China. This new model boasts Quantum Dot technology, ensuring vibrant and long-lasting color coverage of 96% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, with TCL claiming that the colors will not fade for up to 100,000 hours.

The T5K provides a brightness range of 300-400 nits, purportedly 25% higher than unnamed competitors. Equipped with MEMC motion smoothing technology and supporting Dolby Vision, this TV offers enhanced viewing experiences. Additionally, it features dual 20W Onkyo speakers compatible with Dolby Atmos for impressive audio quality.

Gamers and tech enthusiasts will appreciate the 8ms input lag and the array of connectivity options, including dual HDMI 2.1 ports, USB-A 3.0, USB-A 2.0, AV input, RJ45, RF antenna, and an audio jack. The TV offers voice command capabilities, multiple screen-casting options, and substantial memory with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

Designed with a sleek, thin bezel, the T5K offers a 98% screen-to-body ratio and a 178° wide viewing angle. Pre-orders for the TCL T5K are available at 2,099 yuan (approximately $295), with an official release date of August 31st. It remains uncertain if TCL will introduce this model to international markets such as the US. In the meantime, consumers can explore other 50-inch models from TCL’s lineup, like the S5 UHD 4K LED Smart TV.
