The Galaxy A35 5G is now available in Lilac and Navy colors in the US. This budget-friendly smartphone from Samsung offers a premium build and impressive software support. Amazon has made this device even more attractive by offering a $100 discount off its regular price for a limited time.
Released earlier this year, the Galaxy A35 5G competes in the mid-range smartphone segment, launching alongside the more advanced Galaxy A55. Despite being a mid-range device, the Galaxy A35 shares several design elements and features with Samsung’s flagship models. It boasts a 6.6-inch 120Hz AMOLED display reinforced with Gorilla Glass Victus+, an IP67 dust and water resistance rating, an under-display fingerprint scanner, and 25W fast wired charging.
The official price for the base model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is $399, but it is currently available on Amazon for $299.99—a 25% discount. There is also a bundle option that includes a pair of Galaxy Buds FE for an additional $100.
The Galaxy A35 stands out with its premium glass back, expandable storage via a microSD card slot (up to 1TB), and support for eSIM. Samsung has committed to providing 4 years of OS upgrades and 5 years of security updates for the device. Its 5,000mAh battery is expected to last up to 2 days depending on usage.
However, there are a few downsides. The Exynos 1380 processor, while capable, isn’t the most powerful in this price category. The phone also lags behind competitors like the Redmi Note 13 Pro in terms of charging speed, given that the Galaxy A35 supports 25W charging compared to the Redmi’s 67W, and it doesn’t include a charger in the box.
Despite these shortcomings, the Galaxy A35 remains a solid option for those looking to upgrade from an older budget smartphone.
