The latest update in the smartphone market reveals a leaked real-world image of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A35 model. It’s becoming increasingly evident that Samsung is planning to maintain its strong presence within the low-end smartphone segment in 2024. Their portfolio already includes models such as the Galaxy A05, A15, and A25, and now, it seems that the Galaxy A35 is set to join the lineup, alongside the mid-range Galaxy A55.
Recently, the Galaxy A35 was seen making an appearance at the Radio Research Agency in Korea, where a live photo of the device was leaked for the first time, showcasing its design.
The snapshot gives us a glance at a phone with a flat back panel highlighted by individual circular camera cutouts. The flat frame of the Galaxy A35 also features the distinctive “Key Island” design around its side buttons.
This design aspect helps the Galaxy A35, along with other 2024 A-series models, to maintain the “One-mass” design language that users have come to recognize. This also allows for an easier distinction between these more economical models and Samsung’s upper-tier offerings, such as the Galaxy S24 flagships and the Galaxy S23 FE.
Anticipated Features of the Galaxy A35
While the official specs for the Galaxy A35 are yet to be disclosed, some information has already been speculated, thanks to a Geekbench listing for a device with the model number SM-A356U, presumed to be the Galaxy A35. It’s expected that the smartphone will support 5G based on its model number, SM-A356N.
Predictions based on the benchmark suggest that the Galaxy A35 will come equipped with at least 6GB of RAM and run on the Exynos 1380 chipset, which consists of four Cortex-A55 CPU cores clocked at 2.0GHz and four Cortex-A78 cores running at 2.4GHz. The graphics are powered by a Mali-G68 MP5 GPU, and an AI Engine capable of 4.9TOPS further enhances the chip’s capabilities.
Operating under the hood, users can expect to find Android 14, meaning the device will likely launch with the One UI 6 interface, although it remains unclear if it will be the 6.1 version, currently exclusive to the Galaxy S24 series.
The official release date for the Galaxy A35 has not been confirmed, but if Samsung sticks to its previous patterns, the smartphone could be unveiled in March. By referencing past release schedules, notably the Galaxy A34 launch and sale dates in March 2023, we can speculate a similar timeframe for the A35 debut.
As the anticipation for Samsung’s new Galaxy A35 grows, more information is expected to surface, providing a clearer picture of what consumers can expect from this latest addition to the Galaxy A series.
