TCL Unveils Sleek Ultra-Thin 4K OLED Gaming Monitor with Bold Design and Lightning-Fast 240Hz Refresh Rate

TCL is taking a different approach to the premium gaming monitor playbook. Instead of the usual aggressive, RGB-heavy look, the newly announced TCL 32X3A goes for a clean, ultra-thin design while still delivering the kind of specs PC and console gamers actually care about: a 31.5-inch 4K OLED panel and a fast 240Hz refresh rate.

At the heart of the TCL 32X3A is an OLED+ display built to emphasize both speed and image quality. In 4K mode, it runs at up to 240Hz, making it a strong fit for high-end gaming rigs that can push big frame rates at ultra-sharp resolution. TCL also includes a dual-mode feature for players who value maximum smoothness over resolution. Switch down to 1080p and the monitor can reach an even higher 480Hz refresh rate, which is particularly appealing for competitive esports-style gaming where motion clarity and responsiveness matter most.

As expected from an OLED gaming monitor, buyers can anticipate the signature benefits of OLED technology: deep true blacks, very fast response times, and extremely high contrast. TCL also claims 99% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, which is a meaningful number for vibrant HDR-friendly visuals, cinematic games, and color-rich content.

TCL mentions a “matrix” pixel arrangement intended to improve text clarity, though the company hasn’t shared detailed technical specifics. With a 31.5-inch 4K panel, pixel density lands around 140 PPI. That’s perfectly fine for gaming and general use, though anyone who spends most of their day reading small text or doing heavy productivity work may still prefer a higher pixel density display.

The monitor’s standout feature might be its physical design. TCL is clearly prioritizing thinness in a way that’s unusual for this category. The thinnest portion measures just 6.4 mm (about 0.25 inches), while the section around the stand is thicker at roughly 35.8 mm (about 1.4 inches). Tilt adjustment is supported, but additional ergonomic options haven’t been confirmed yet.

Audio is another area TCL is highlighting. The 32X3A includes built-in speakers tuned by Bang & Olufsen, positioned toward the bottom of the stand. TCL hasn’t disclosed details like wattage or the number of drivers, but it’s a notable inclusion for people who want cleaner desk setups or better built-in sound than typical monitor speakers.

Connectivity also looks strong for a modern 4K high-refresh OLED gaming monitor. The TCL 32X3A includes DisplayPort 2.1, two HDMI 2.1 ports, USB-C with up to 90W power delivery, two USB-A ports, and a USB-B port, making it well-suited for gaming PCs, current-gen consoles, and laptop docking with a single cable.

Pricing in China is set at 5,999 Yuan, which works out to about $871. There’s no confirmed international release yet, but given TCL’s global footprint, a wider launch wouldn’t be surprising. For now, availability appears limited to the Chinese market.
