Tank M4C Smartwatch Debuts With Built-In LED Flashlight and Walkie-Talkie Calling

Kospet has introduced a new outdoor-ready smartwatch called the Tank M4C, packing a surprisingly versatile set of features for its price. Designed with rugged use in mind, it blends fitness tracking, practical tools, and communication features into a rectangular, easy-to-read wearable that’s positioned as a strong value option for people who spend time hiking, biking, camping, or training outdoors.

One standout feature is the built-in LED flashlight. Instead of relying on the phone’s light or carrying a small torch, the Tank M4C integrates LEDs at the top of the watch case, with multiple brightness levels to choose from. That makes it useful for quick tasks like finding gear in a bag, navigating a dark room, or adding a bit of visibility outdoors.

Another unusual addition is a walkie-talkie function, advertised with a range of up to 43 yards. While it won’t replace long-range radios, it’s an interesting built-in option for short-distance communication in places where reaching for your phone is inconvenient.

Built for the outdoors, the Tank M4C offers 5 ATM water resistance, which means it can handle swimming and water-based activities. The display is a 1.96-inch AMOLED panel with a sharp 410 x 502 resolution and up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness, helping it remain readable in bright conditions where many watches struggle.

Health and fitness tracking are also central to the package. The sensor suite includes optical monitoring for heart rate and blood oxygen saturation. For outdoor metrics, there’s an electronic compass and a barometer that measures air pressure and can estimate altitude—useful for tracking changes in elevation during hikes or rides.

GPS is built in for recording routes during activities like running and cycling, so you can track workouts without needing to carry your phone for location data. However, it’s important to note that the watch doesn’t include full navigation features: you can’t import routes, and maps can’t be stored locally. The onboard 1GB storage can be used for saving music instead, allowing playback without a connected smartphone.

When paired with a phone, the Tank M4C can display notifications and also works as a hands-free Bluetooth calling device, meaning you can answer calls on the watch without taking your phone out.

Kospet also emphasizes the watch’s sturdy construction. The case is made from zinc alloy, with a mix of stainless steel and other metals used throughout, while the back uses plastic. Physical controls include four buttons, which can be helpful when wet hands or gloves make touch controls less reliable.

Battery capacity is rated at 500mAh. Kospet claims up to 16 days of typical use, dropping to around 5 days with an always-on display enabled. For GPS-heavy workouts, battery life is listed at up to 21 hours, which should cover long training days, endurance sessions, or weekend trips depending on how continuously GPS is used.

The Kospet Tank M4C is currently listed at $159 on Amazon with a $20 launch coupon, placing it in an affordable range for a rugged AMOLED smartwatch with GPS, a flashlight, and walkie-talkie functionality. For buyers who want more tools on their wrist—especially for outdoor activities—this watch aims to deliver a lot of practical value, even if full offline mapping and route navigation aren’t part of the experience.
