The Japanese innovator, SyCom, is taking graphics performance to new heights by introducing the RTX 5080 with a remarkable AIO cooling system and high-efficiency Noctua fans. Known for crafting specialized GPU cooling solutions, SyCom adds this gem to its Silent Master series, following the recent release of the 60 and 70-class GeForce RTX 50 GPUs.
This latest entry, the GeForce RTX 5080 Hydro LC, stands out with its advanced hybrid cooling system. It combines a powerful PCB cooler with a dedicated AIO-cooler, making it distinct from the slower models. The system includes a triple fan cooler on the PCB that links to a 240mm radiator. This radiator is coupled with the renowned Noctua NF-A12x25 ULN fans, which maintain a steady airflow at 1200 RPM, ensuring efficient cooling.
This innovative cooling method not only enhances heat dissipation more rapidly than standard coolers but also extends the GPU’s lifespan, though it does drive up costs. Impressively, the RTX 5080 Hydro LC achieves a higher average clock speed compared to standard RTX 5080 GPUs, reaching about 2,820 MHz at full load. This is roughly a 7% boost from the Founders Edition’s 2,620 MHz, all while maintaining a cool 64.9 degrees Celsius and operating quietly.
It’s important to note that the GeForce RTX 5080 Hydro LC isn’t available as a standalone purchase. SyCom, being a system integrator, offers this advanced GPU solely through its pre-built computers. These systems start at a price of 440,240 Yen, or just over $3,000. Buyers can opt for the latest AMD or Intel platforms, which include AIO cooling for both the GPU and CPU.
