Stable HyperOS 3 rollout imminent for three global Xiaomi phones from 2022–2023

Good news for owners of the Xiaomi 12T Pro, Poco F5, and Poco F5 Pro: Xiaomi has started internal testing of stable HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 for these global models, signaling that a wider rollout could be close. The company has already delivered Android 16 to roughly a dozen phones and tablets, and it now appears to be turning its attention to the final wave of compatible devices.

Early test builds have been spotted with specific version numbers tied to regions. The Xiaomi 12T Pro is on OS3.0.0.1.VLFMIXM. For the Poco F5 Pro, regional builds vary, including OS3.0.0.1.VMNTRXM for Turkey and OS3.0.0.1.VMNRUXM for Russia. The Poco F5 also has regional differences, though build identifiers may not be uniform across all markets.

There’s a good chance the Chinese equivalents will see the update slightly earlier than the international units. For reference, the Xiaomi 12T Pro corresponds to the Redmi K50 Ultra in China, the Poco F5 Pro to the Redmi K60, and the Poco F5 to the Redmi Note 12 Turbo.

So far, the stable HyperOS 3 update has reached these global devices:
– Xiaomi 15 series
– Xiaomi 15T series
– Poco F7 Ultra
– Xiaomi Pad 7 series
– Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G
– Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G
– Poco X7 Pro
– Poco X7
– Poco M7 4G
– Redmi 15 4G

What this means for you:
– If you own a Xiaomi 12T Pro, Poco F5, or Poco F5 Pro, keep an eye out for an over-the-air notification in the coming weeks.
– Rollouts are staged by region and carrier, so exact timing will vary.
– Before updating, ensure you have a recent backup, at least 8–10 GB of free storage, and a charged battery.
– You can manually check for the update by going to Settings > About phone > System update.

HyperOS 3 with Android 16 should deliver the usual mix of performance tuning, system stability improvements, and expanded features, with Xiaomi’s optimizations layered on top of Google’s latest Android platform. As testing expands and feedback is incorporated, expect a gradual, region-by-region release for these remaining devices in the global lineup.
