Sony Reveals New PlayStation Plus Games Coming Soon, Including Mycopunk and Classic Favorites
Sony’s latest State of Play presentation delivered several updates for PlayStation fans, including fresh trailers, gameplay previews, and release details for upcoming titles. Alongside the broader showcase, Sony also revealed new additions coming to PlayStation Plus, giving subscribers more games to look forward to over the next few months.
One of the biggest announcements is Mycopunk, a co-op action first-person shooter from Devolver Digital. The game is set to launch on PlayStation 5 in October and will arrive on PlayStation Plus as a day-one release. Mycopunk first appeared in Early Access on PC in July 2025, and its full release will bring the chaotic multiplayer shooter to a wider audience on console.
Mycopunk stands out with its fast-paced cooperative gameplay, unusual visual style, and intense shooter action. For PlayStation Plus members, its day-one availability makes it one of the more notable upcoming additions to the service, especially for players looking for a new online co-op experience.
Sony also confirmed that three more titles are heading to the PlayStation Plus Classics Catalog later this year. These games will be available for PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, expanding the catalog with well-known titles from earlier PlayStation generations.
The first classic game joining the lineup is Mega Man X: Command Mission. Originally released in 2004, this entry took the Mega Man X franchise in a new direction by moving away from traditional side-scrolling action and introducing turn-based RPG combat. Set in the 23rd century, the game follows X and his allies as they face a new threat, offering a different take on the popular Capcom series.
Another major addition is Dino Crisis 2, Capcom’s action-focused sequel to the original survival-horror game. Released in 2000, Dino Crisis 2 increases the pace with more combat, more dinosaurs, and a stronger emphasis on action while still keeping the tense atmosphere that made the series memorable. Fans of classic PlayStation-era action games may find this one of the most exciting additions to the Classics Catalog.
Ratchet & Clank is also coming to the service, giving players another chance to experience the 2002 PlayStation 2 classic. The game introduces Ratchet, a Lombax mechanic, and Clank, a small robot who becomes his partner on an interplanetary adventure. With creative weapons, platforming challenges, gadgets, colorful worlds, and mini-games, Ratchet & Clank remains one of PlayStation’s most recognizable franchises.
These upcoming PlayStation Plus additions continue Sony’s effort to mix new releases with nostalgic classics. With Mycopunk arriving as a day-one PlayStation Plus game and classic titles like Mega Man X: Command Mission, Dino Crisis 2, and Ratchet & Clank joining the Premium catalog, subscribers will have a varied selection of action, RPG, co-op, and retro experiences to explore.
For PlayStation Plus members, the next few months look promising, especially for players who enjoy both modern multiplayer games and classic PlayStation adventures.
