Sony Marks 20 Years of God of War with a Limited-Edition PS5 DualSense

Sony isn’t done celebrating two decades of God of War. Following wallpapers, new merchandise, and a free God of War Ragnarök update earlier this year, the company has unveiled a limited edition DualSense controller to mark the 20th anniversary of the franchise.

Announced during the September 24 State of Play, the God of War 20th Anniversary DualSense is a collector’s piece inspired by Kratos. The controller sports a clean light gray finish accented by a bold red omega marking that slashes across the right shoulder and trigger buttons, sweeps over the action buttons, and continues down the right handle. Red detailing also highlights the action buttons and D-pad, while the back proudly reads “God of War 20th Anniversary.” It’s a simple, striking design that immediately calls back to the series’ iconic aesthetic.

Pre-orders open at 10 AM local time on October 3, with availability in limited quantities across multiple regions. Pricing is set at $84.99 in the US, €84.99 in Europe, £74.99 in the UK, and ¥12,480 in Japan. It will be sold via PlayStation’s official storefront and select retail partners. For context, the standard DualSense typically retails for less, underscoring this model’s premium, commemorative status.

If you’re a PS5 owner, God of War fan, or a collector of special edition hardware, this Kratos-themed controller is likely to sell out fast. Mark your calendar, set your alarm, and be ready to secure one when pre-orders go live.
