Solo Leveling: Arise “Beyond” Update Arrives October 22 With Four-Hunter Battles, New Seasonal Cards, and Level Cap Increase
Netmarble is preparing a major celebration for Solo Leveling: Arise as the game’s 2.5th Anniversary update, titled “Beyond,” launches on Thursday, October 22, 2026. The update brings a large wave of new content, including a four-Hunter battle mode, a reworked seasonal progression system, fresh growth mechanics, new characters, and generous anniversary rewards.
The biggest highlight of the update is the debut of Deep Containment Zone, a new combat mode that changes the usual team structure. Instead of bringing three Hunters into battle, players will now form teams of four, opening the door to new strategies, stronger team combinations, and more dynamic encounters.
In Deep Containment Zone, players will face Experiment bosses, which are altered versions of familiar enemies with new mechanics and battlefield dangers. These fights are designed to be more unpredictable, with hazards such as shockwave attacks, monster summons, collapsing zones, and gas leaks affecting the flow of combat.
The mode becomes available after players defeat Igris in Expert Mode. It will launch in beta form, meaning changes and adjustments may arrive as Netmarble collects feedback. At launch, two major Experiment bosses will be featured. Experiment Igris will be weak to Water, while Experiment Kargalgan will be weak to Wind. Each boss will remain available for two weeks.
Netmarble has also teased a Union combat system for Deep Containment Zone. While the feature is still in development and may change before its final version, it suggests that the mode could become one of the most important endgame activities in Solo Leveling: Arise.
Another major change in the “Beyond” update is the removal of Special Commission. In its place, Netmarble is introducing a seasonal card collection system. These cards will feature memorable scenes inspired by the original Solo Leveling story, giving players a new way to collect, progress, and engage with the game’s world.
The new seasonal card system is also designed to make progression feel more rewarding. If players receive duplicate cards during a season, those duplicates will be converted into a special currency. This currency can then be used to purchase higher-grade card packs, ensuring that extra pulls still contribute to meaningful progress.
According to Netmarble, the change was made in response to player feedback, especially concerns that Total Power had started to feel less impactful over time. The seasonal card system appears to be aimed at giving players a clearer sense of growth and a fresh reason to keep building their accounts each season.
The 2.5th Anniversary update also raises Sung Jinwoo’s maximum level from 160 to 170. Alongside the increased level cap, Sung Jinwoo will receive a new job change called Requiem, giving players another major milestone to pursue.
A new growth feature called Stone Statues will also be added. These statues can strengthen Sung Jinwoo, Successors, and Hunters. Each statue includes three stats that players can refine, allowing for more customization and deeper character development.
For players looking for high-pressure combat, the update introduces Battlefield of Infinity. This challenge mode asks players to defeat as many continuously spawning bosses as possible within a time limit. It looks set to become a strong test of damage output, team building, and survival.
The update will also add new characters to the roster. Holy Guardian Barrier Go Gunhee joins as a Water element Buster Hunter, while Successor of the Fangs Velvet arrives as a Fire element Successor. Both additions should give players more options when building teams for elemental matchups and the new Deep Containment Zone encounters.
Anniversary rewards are another major part of the celebration. Netmarble says players can earn up to 300 anniversary special draw tickets during the October update. An additional 200 tickets will be available through the November update, giving players a total of up to 500 special draw tickets across the anniversary period.
A limited redeem code will also be available. Players can use the code 25THANNIV starting October 22 to receive a 2.5th Anniversary SSR Hunter and an exclusive weapon selection ticket. These rewards should be especially valuable for both returning players and newcomers looking to strengthen their accounts quickly.
The timing of the update comes as Solo Leveling: Arise continues to perform strongly worldwide. The game has now surpassed 70 million downloads, showing that interest in the action RPG remains high well into its second year.
One important platform change is also happening alongside the update. Netmarble has confirmed that support for the Epic Games Store version of Solo Leveling: Arise will end on October 22. Players using that version may want to check their account options before the update arrives.
With four-Hunter battles, a new seasonal card system, an increased level cap, fresh characters, and hundreds of draw tickets, the Solo Leveling: Arise 2.5th Anniversary “Beyond” update is shaping up to be one of the game’s most significant content drops so far. For fans of Sung Jinwoo’s journey, October 22 looks like a major date to mark on the calendar.
