The latest mid-range smartphone rankings for August 2024 have been released by AnTuTu, and the list remains largely unchanged from July’s edition. Notably absent once again are devices powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. This new SoC, positioned as a high-end mid-range performer, places its capabilities between the previous Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Although smartphones equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, like the 12/512 GB Poco F6 currently priced at $387.50 on Amazon, have hit the market, they have yet to secure a spot in AnTuTu’s mid-range rankings. It seems these devices haven’t met the necessary benchmark criteria, which include performing at least a thousand valid runs each month.
This month’s list maintains the same top performers as July’s, with just one change in the 10th position, where the Oppo K10 5G edged out the iQOO Z9. The other rankings are as follows:
1. **OnePlus Ace 3V** with Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3
2. **Realme GT Neo6 SE** with Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3
3. **Redmi K70E** with Dimensity 8200 Ultra
4. **Realme GT Neo5 SE** with Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2
5. **Redmi Note 12 Turbo** with Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2
6. **iQOO Z8** with Dimensity 8200
7. **iQOO Neo7 SE** with Dimensity 8200
8. **OnePlus Ace Racing Edition** with Dimensity 8100 Max
9. **Redmi Note 12T Pro** with Dimensity 8200
According to AnTuTu, the smartphones equipped with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset are leading the performance charts in the mid-range category. However, it’s essential to remember that AnTuTu scores are just one aspect to consider when choosing a smartphone. Factors such as camera quality, display, and software experience should also play a significant role in your decision-making process.
