Sharp unveils Aquos sense10, a pocket-size powerhouse with a 6.1-inch 240Hz OLED display

Sharp’s Aquos sense10 aims to deliver premium touches in a mid-range Android phone, blending capable cameras, dependable performance, and long-term software support at a sensible price.

Photography is the headline act. Up front, a 32 MP f/2.2 selfie camera handles video calls and social shots with plenty of detail. On the rear, a 50 MP f/1.9 main camera with a large 1/1.55-inch sensor is built for stronger low-light results and crisper images, while a 50 MP f/2.2 ultrawide with a 1/2.5-inch sensor expands your field of view without sacrificing resolution. Sharp also layers in AI-powered tools to automatically remove unwanted reflections and shadows, helping photos look clean without manual editing.

Under the hood, the Aquos sense10 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. Its CPU combines four Cortex-A720 performance cores with four Cortex-A520 efficiency cores to balance speed and battery efficiency for everyday tasks, gaming, and multitasking. Audio lovers get modern wireless codec support, including Qualcomm aptX Adaptive and Sony LDAC, for higher-quality Bluetooth streaming with compatible headphones.

Software support is another strong point. The phone ships with Android 16 and is guaranteed three major Android version updates plus five years of security patches, extending its lifespan and keeping it protected longer than many mid-range alternatives.

Price and availability
– Japan pricing starts at ¥62,700 (about $410) for the 6 GB RAM, 128 GB storage model.
– A higher-capacity version with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage is ¥69,300 (about $450).
– As Sharp’s phones are not typically released in the US or much of Europe, interested buyers in those regions will likely need to import.

Who should consider it? If you want a mid-range Android phone with strong camera hardware, better-than-average Bluetooth audio features, and reliable long-term updates, the Aquos sense10 stands out as a compelling option—especially if you can access the Japanese market or don’t mind importing.
