Seiko King Ghidorah 2026 Watch Brings Godzilla Minus Zero Style to a Limited Chronograph
Seiko has introduced a striking new King Ghidorah 2026 collaboration watch inspired by Godzilla Minus Zero, giving fans of the legendary kaiju franchise a collectible timepiece packed with monster-themed design details.
Created in partnership with Bandai, the new quartz chronograph takes inspiration from King Ghidorah’s powerful on-screen presence, blending gold-colored accents, a dramatic dial, and an engraved caseback with individual numbering. The watch is priced at ¥66,000 in Japan, including local consumption tax, with shipping and handling charged separately.
Preorders opened in Japan on November 6, 2026, through Premium Bandai’s Bancolle! store. The preorder window is scheduled to remain open until December 24, 2026, at 11:00 p.m. JST, though availability may end earlier if the limited allocation sells out.
The design is clearly aimed at collectors who want more than a standard character-branded watch. The dial features patterns inspired by King Ghidorah’s textured body and the destructive gravitational energy associated with the three-headed monster. The hour markers are shaped to evoke the creature’s claws, giving the watch a fierce and instantly recognizable identity.
Gold-colored detailing appears on the crown at 3 o’clock and the chronograph pushers positioned at 2 and 4 o’clock. These accents tie directly into King Ghidorah’s iconic golden appearance, making the watch feel like a tribute to one of the most famous monsters in the Godzilla universe.
The stainless steel case measures approximately 47.2 × 39.2 × 11.35 mm and is fitted with a curved Hardlex crystal. Inside, the watch uses a battery-powered quartz movement with an advertised accuracy of ±15 seconds per month. Bandai also lists a battery life of around three years.
For daily practicality, the Seiko King Ghidorah watch offers 10 ATM water resistance and JIS Class 1 magnetic resistance. It also comes with a stainless steel bracelet featuring Seiko’s tool-assisted adjustment system, allowing owners to resize the bracelet more conveniently.
The caseback adds another collectible touch, featuring an engraved silhouette of King Ghidorah along with an individual serial number. Each buyer will also receive a gold-colored presentation box, an adjustment tool, and a three-year warranty.
The timing of the release adds to its appeal, as the Japanese preorder launch lines up with the North American theatrical debut of Godzilla Minus Zero. However, fans eager to wear the watch will need to be patient. Deliveries are currently scheduled for June 2027.
With its bold monster-inspired styling, limited availability, numbered caseback, and official Godzilla Minus Zero connection, the Seiko King Ghidorah 2026 watch is positioned as a standout collectible for both watch enthusiasts and kaiju fans.
