Seiko Unveils Limited-Edition Initial D Chronograph Inspired by Keisuke Takahashi’s RX-7 FD3S
Seiko’s Initial D watch collaboration is back with a new limited-edition chronograph, and this time the spotlight is on one of the series’ most iconic machines: Keisuke Takahashi’s yellow Mazda RX-7 FD3S.
Following the earlier Takumi Fujiwara AE86-inspired release, this new model celebrates the RedSuns driver with a design that leans heavily into the look and spirit of the famous rotary-powered sports car. The watch is limited to just 1,995 individually numbered pieces worldwide, a number chosen to honor 1995, the year Shuichi Shigeno’s Initial D manga first began serialization.
The standout feature is the vivid yellow dial, clearly inspired by Keisuke’s RX-7 body color.
