Seiko and Sega Team Up for a Limited-Edition Watch Collaboration Coming Soon

Sega is celebrating a major milestone with a stylish new collectible aimed at gamers and watch fans alike. To mark the company’s 65th anniversary (Sega was founded in 1960), two limited-edition Seiko x Sega collaboration watches have been revealed in Japan, blending classic analog design with unmistakable Sega flair and a nod to Sonic the Hedgehog.

The Sega 65th Anniversary Seiko Collaboration Model comes in two finishes: Black and Silver. The Black version features a black dial paired with a striking blue tachymeter, along with a black ion-plated case and matching strap for a sleek, modern look. Prefer something brighter and more traditional? The Silver model goes with a clean white dial, a black tachymeter ring, and a silver-toned stainless-steel case and bracelet.

Both watches lean heavily into anniversary details that fans will notice immediately. The Arabic numerals use Sega’s official brand font, and the Seiko and Sega logos sit together at the 3 o’clock position, keeping the branding prominent without overpowering the dial.

Beyond the visuals, these Seiko collaboration watches are built around Seiko’s 7T92 caliber. You get three analog hands, a simple date display, and three subdials dedicated to the stopwatch function. The standout detail is tucked into the 6 o’clock subdial: an outline of Sonic the Hedgehog, giving the watch a playful touch while keeping the overall design wearable and refined.

Sega and Seiko also didn’t skimp on everyday practicality. The watches are rated water resistant to 10 bar (100 meters), and they’re listed with a monthly accuracy rate of plus or minus 15 seconds. The case measures 47.2 x 39.2 x 11.25 mm, offering a bold wrist presence without going overly bulky. And because this is a true limited run, each piece includes an individually engraved serial number on the case back beneath the Sega 65th anniversary logo.

For buyers in Japan, pre-orders are open with a price of ¥71,500 (around $457) per watch, and both color options are scheduled to launch in early October 2026. The product listings also indicate that international shipping may be available through a forwarding service, giving collectors outside Japan a potential path to secure one.

With iconic Sega design cues, a Sonic cameo, and Seiko’s proven watchmaking, these 65th anniversary watches are positioned as a premium keepsake for longtime fans—equally suited for display collections or daily wear.
