Seasoned Combat Robot Yahoo Dominates NHRL 30 lb Division

Yahoo VS Warhard XXL

Despite enduring a series of tough blows from its competitors, Yahoo has clinched the number one position in round six of the National Havoc Robot League (NHRL) qualifiers. With just one more qualifier to go in October, the stakes are high for teams vying for a coveted spot in the December finals.

Yahoo wowed the crowd with its formidable weapon, a four-inch long, ten-pound steel drum spinning at an incredible speed. Yahoo’s first match against Synthesis 30 was over almost as soon as it began, with Yahoo tearing out the belt for Synthesis’s front-facing vertical spinner in mere seconds, leading to a swift knockout. Following up was a grueling three-minute showdown with Red Storm, which ended in Yahoo’s favor after a judge’s decision, thanks to an array of sparks and tactical stalls.

The winning streak for Yahoo didn’t stop there. It went on to claim another knockout victory by pinning and immobilizing Hyperpolarized. But the run came to a dramatic end when Warhard XXL entered the ring. Warhard’s powerful spinner sent Yahoo soaring through the air, tearing off a part of Yahoo’s frame in the process and securing a knockout victory.

Despite this setback, Yahoo still emerged as the top placer in the NHRL round six qualifiers. The Cosmos Team veteran, actively competing since 2020, faced off against four adversaries during the live-streamed mid-September event. Originally slated for six battles, two competitors, aiming to minimize damage to their bots, opted to forfeit. Among them was MegatRON, ranked number two, who also faced a disastrous bout when it caught fire while fighting Hurricane.

For those new to the NHRL, it’s currently the largest and most accessible organizer of robot combat events. With an array of weight classes and an annual tournament pulling in participants from across the nation, NHRL has become a hub for robot combat enthusiasts.

Stay tuned for more updates as the competition heats up heading into the final qualifier in October and the grand finale in December!
