Nintendo has officially confirmed that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake will launch on November 5 for the Nintendo Switch 2, but some resellers are already trying to cash in on the hype. Even with nearly two months to go before release, physical copies of the game are appearing on resale marketplaces at prices far above the official retail cost.
The announcement came during the latest Zelda Direct, where Nintendo revealed both the release date and pricing for the highly anticipated remake. The physical edition of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake is priced at $69.99, which is in line with many major new releases for the Switch 2.
Given the legendary status of Ocarina of Time, demand is expected to be extremely high. The original game remains one of the most celebrated entries in the Zelda series, and a full remake for Nintendo’s latest console is likely to attract both longtime fans and new players. Previous high-profile Switch 2 releases have also seen physical editions sell out quickly, which may be fueling concerns that Ocarina of Time could become difficult to find on launch day.
However, there is currently no reason to pay inflated resale prices. The physical edition of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake is still available to preorder at its normal retail price through major retailers at the time of writing. With the November 5 launch still weeks away, more preorder stock could also become available before release.
Fans hoping to buy the game should keep checking trusted retailers and avoid paying scalper prices whenever possible. Nintendo may also increase supply if preorder demand is especially strong. Unless stock becomes genuinely impossible to find, paying nearly double or triple the official price only rewards resellers trying to profit from early excitement.
