Nintendo fans may be closer than expected to reserving The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for Switch 2. A newly spotted Google search result tied to GameStop reportedly listed August 4 as the start date for pre-orders, raising speculation that Nintendo could be preparing a major announcement in the coming weeks.
The rumored date has not been officially confirmed, and the listing was reportedly changed shortly after it appeared, with the pre-order date removed. Still, the timing has caught the attention of Zelda fans because it lines up with growing expectations that Ocarina of Time could be one of Nintendo’s biggest holiday releases for the Switch 2.
Nintendo first teased The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake on June 9, but the brief reveal left players with more questions than answers. Fans are still waiting for a full trailer, gameplay details, a release date, pricing, and confirmation of whether special editions or limited hardware bundles will be available.
