After introducing its foldable devices, Samsung has now turned its attention to the eagerly anticipated S series and the forthcoming Galaxy Tab S10, set to debut soon. The previous generation, the Galaxy Tab S9, won fans over with its convenient 11-inch OLED display, making it a go-to choice for entertainment on the go. Now, Samsung is hard at work on the S10 lineup, focusing on the Plus and Ultra models this time around while increasing the screen size.
Rumors are swirling that the new Galaxy Tab S10 won’t feature a dramatic redesign. Instead, it will be a polished version of its predecessor, retaining key design elements. The upcoming tablet is expected to have the same notch and dual camera setup as the Tab S9, with no major visual overhauls.
Samsung’s choice to concentrate on the larger Plus and Ultra variants signals a strategic shift, dismissing the base model altogether. While fans had high hopes for groundbreaking changes, it appears the tech giant is opting for subtle improvements rather than a complete reinvention.
Evan Blass, a well-known tipster, shared a render of the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra on his social media, offering a sneak peek at the flagship model’s design. The image reveals that the notorious notch at the top of the display remains, echoing previous designs. Likewise, the dual camera layout from the Tab S9 Ultra is carried over with no noticeable upgrades. The shared render also shows the back of the tablet following the same aesthetic as the previous generation, complete with similarly styled accessories.
The leaked render displays the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra flaunting a sleek gray color. Expect a 14.6-inch display sporting prominent bezels. One significant change is the addition of dual USB Type-C ports at the bottom of the tablet, a new feature. The reveal of a 45W fast charging capability by the FCC points to faster charging times. Samsung is also anticipated to diversify its chipset supply by using MediaTek Dimensity 9300 for these premium models, diverging from its usual reliance on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips.
The Galaxy Tab S10 will likely launch with Android 14, based on One UI 6.1.1, and is set to be unveiled in October alongside the Galaxy S24 FE.
