Z Flip 7 is here

Samsung Unveils Galaxy Z Flip 7 With Stable $1,100 Price Tag

The anticipation is over as Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event has finally taken place, bringing exciting new product launches. While much of the focus was on the innovative Galaxy AI features, the real highlight was the impressive new foldable phone. Samsung unveiled the highly anticipated Galaxy Z Flip 7, confirming many of the rumors with a significant upgrade over its predecessor.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 arrives with a larger battery, a sleeker design, and the Exynos 2500 chipset. Despite its innovative features, it maintains the same pricing as the previous model, making it an attractive option for tech enthusiasts.

One notable change is the slimmer design. The device now measures just 13.7mm when folded and 6.9mm when unfolded. Although it weighs slightly more at 188 grams, this is likely due to the bigger battery. It’s more portable and pocket-friendly, but the display truly steals the show.

The refreshed display includes a remarkable 4.1-inch Super AMOLED Flex Window, providing ample space for apps and widgets. With a dazzling 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, the new viewing experience is both smoother and brighter. The main display has also grown to 6.9 inches, offering an immersive experience akin to Motorola’s Razr Ultra.

A significant shift comes with Samsung’s decision to utilize its own Exynos 2500 chipset, moving away from Qualcomm. This 3nm chipset promises enhanced performance and efficiency. While the camera setup remains unchanged with a 50MP wide-angle and a 12MP ultra-wide lens, users can enjoy the new 10-bit HDR video recording for improved contrast and color. The camera interface also introduces a new Zoom Slider for precision control.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 benefits from a larger 4,300mAh battery, promising all-day usage. Despite retaining a 25W charging speed, Samsung DeX support is now extended to this model, allowing a desktop-like experience with a compatible monitor. Available in 256GB or 512GB storage options, it offers versatility and convenience.

Samsung is also committed to longevity, announcing seven years of software and security updates. The One UI 8 interface introduces features like Now Brief, Now Bar, and Gemini Live for a more interactive experience. Priced at $1,100, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is available for pre-order before its official release on July 25th. Color options include Blue Shadow, Jet Black, and Coral Red, with an exclusive Mint available via Samsung’s website.
