Philips Hue Introduces Latest Update for Smart Home App

Philips Hue has introduced a new update for its smart home app, but don’t expect groundbreaking changes this time around. Version 5.46 is a minor release, primarily focusing on stability improvements and bug fixes, rather than adding new features.

Previously, version 5.45.1 brought exciting additions, like support for the Hue Play wall washer light and enhanced Amazon Alexa integration for homes with multiple Hue Bridges. However, the latest version doesn’t include major updates or improvements, and the specifics of the bug fixes haven’t been detailed.

There is some good news for users in the UK. The much-anticipated Philips Hue AI assistant is now rolling out in the region. Initially launched in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, this feature is expected to be available globally by the end of August.

Philips Hue app version 5.46 can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and is soon expected on the Google Play Store, so users can stay up-to-date with the latest improvements.
