Samsung has rolled out a new compact 60W USB‑C fast charger built to take full advantage of the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s upgraded wired charging speeds. The new Samsung 60W PD Power Adapter supports Super Fast Charging 2.0 and is positioned as the best match for anyone who wants the fastest possible top-ups on Samsung’s latest flagship.
At Samsung’s recent Unpacked event, the Galaxy S26 lineup arrived with several improvements, and one of the most noticeable for power users is charging. The Galaxy S26 Ultra now supports up to 60W Super Fast Charging 2.0, a jump from the 45W limit on the previous Ultra model. The Galaxy S26 Plus and standard Galaxy S26 keep their familiar charging caps at 45W and 25W, respectively, but the new adapter is still designed to deliver the maximum speeds those devices can handle.
Samsung says the new 60W adapter can charge a completely drained Galaxy S26 Ultra to roughly 75% in about 30 minutes, making it a practical upgrade for commuters, travelers, and anyone who relies on quick charging between meetings or during busy days.
Even if you don’t have the Ultra, the charger is still broadly useful. It supports Super Fast Charging, USB Power Delivery 3.1, and PPS (Programmable Power Supply), which helps it intelligently negotiate power delivery for compatible Galaxy phones and other supported devices. That means it can still provide optimal speeds for other models in the Galaxy S26 family as well as older compatible Samsung devices.
Efficiency and safety are also part of the pitch. Samsung rates the adapter’s idle power draw at under 0.005W, aiming to reduce wasted energy when it’s plugged in but not actively charging. It also includes protections against overcharging, overheating, and short circuits to help safeguard both the charger and whatever you connect to it.
In terms of portability, the power brick is fairly small at 46.0 x 64.2 x 28.0 mm and weighs 104.2 g, making it easy to slip into a pocket of a backpack or travel pouch. One thing to note: the prongs aren’t foldable, which some people may prefer for packing.
The Samsung 60W PD Power Adapter is available directly from Samsung for $54.99, with an early discount currently bringing it down to $38.49. It also does not include a charging cable in the box, so you’ll need to use your own USB‑C cable (ideally one rated for higher wattage) to get the best performance.
