Samsung Knox TV 2024 CC Certification

Samsung TVs Achieve International Security Certification with Knox Technology

Samsung has recently shared that its latest range of televisions, which are integrated with Samsung Knox security technology, have been awarded the International Common Criteria (CC) security certification. This prestigious certification was received soon after the company unveiled its 2024 lineup, which includes advanced TV models such as QLED TVs, Neo QLED TVs, OLED TVs, and Micro LED TVs.

The integration of Samsung Knox into Samsung’s smart TVs commenced in 2015, and for the past decade, their televisions have consistently secured the CC certification. This year is no exception, with Samsung reinforcing the trust and security that customers have come to expect from their products. The CC certification is widely recognized and endorsed by 31 countries worldwide for rigorous testing of device security standards.

The CC certification for Samsung’s 2024 TV lineup highlights three key security features present within the Samsung Knox suite:

  1. Continuous, real-time monitoring by Knox to detect any breach or hacking attempt on a TV utilizing the Tizen OS.
  2. The ability to identify and prevent access to phishing websites by verifying web pages before navigation, thereby preventing potential security threats.
  3. The Knox Bolt feature, especially available in the QN800D and QN900D Neo QLED 8K TV models, dedicated to safeguarding users’ personal information.

Yongjae Kim, the Vice President of Samsung’s Visual Display Business Division, emphasized the company’s commitment toward user data protection, stating that the security capabilities offered by Samsung Knox are becoming increasingly robust. He assured that the protection of customer data remains a high priority as Samsung continues to incorporate leading security technology into its devices.

As the tech giant continues to innovate in the smart TV market, Samsung’s adherence to stringent security certifications not only builds consumer confidence but also sets a standard for the industry in terms of product security and reliability.
