Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 Debuts with Enhanced Screen and Extended Battery Life

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Fit 3, an update to its budget-friendly fitness tracker lineup. As the successor to the Galaxy Fit 2 released back in 2020, the new model presents numerous enhancements including a significantly larger display, a plethora of health-tracking functions, and additional safety features.

Extended 13-Day Battery Life and Vibrant Full-Color Touchscreen

The new Galaxy Fit 3 sports a 1.57-inch OLED full-color touchscreen which offers users more extensive data at a simple glance. The device is designed with an aluminum frame and carries an IP68 along with a 5ATM rating, ensuring high resistance to dust and water. Equipped with a silicone band featuring a quick-release mechanism, the Galaxy Fit 3 allows for the effortless swapping of bands. An array of sensors including an accelerometer, gyro, and heart-rate monitor enables comprehensive tracking of daily activities, fitness metrics, sleep patterns, stress levels, and workout sessions, all synchronized seamlessly with the Samsung Health app on a connected smartphone. However, it does not come equipped with GPS, limiting its ability to track workouts independently of a smartphone.

Customization is a breeze with over 100 different watch faces available through the Galaxy Wearable app. The fitness tracker also doubles as a remote shutter for your smartphone camera and can control your phone’s media playback. If you misplace your phone, the Galaxy Fit 3 can also assist in locating it. Its safety features encompass Emergency SOS and Fall Detection, which are designed to notify your predetermined contacts in urgent situations. Note, though, that it doesn’t have a microphone or loudspeaker; hence, it can’t be used for answering calls directly from the device.

The Galaxy Fit 3 further enhances your experience by syncing selected modes with your Galaxy smartphone. This includes automatically matching Do Not Disturb or Sleep modes. Samsung’s battery life claim for the Galaxy Fit 3 stands at an impressive 13 days on a single charge.

Customers can choose from three colors: Gray, Pink Gold, and Silver. The launch date for the Galaxy Fit 3 is set for the 23rd of February 2024 in various regions including Asia, Central America, Europe, and South America. Subsequently, it will also make its debut in South Korea.
