Samsung is setting a new precedent in the technology realm by bringing innovative sound features to its range of gadgets. Galaxy smartphones and tablets, encompassing the upcoming Galaxy S24, are slated to receive support for the revolutionary Bluetooth Auracast. This technology functions akin to a “Bluetooth radio station,” permitting multiple pairs of earphones to connect to a single smartphone within Bluetooth range. This marks a significant leap from the traditional one-to-one headphone or speaker pairing system.
The advancements extend to Samsung Smart TVs, which will be equipped with 360 Audio capability. This feature promises to immerse users in a virtual surround sound experience complete with head tracking, provided they use Galaxy Buds. The seamless integration between Samsung’s audio and visual products is geared towards enhancing the user experience.
Moreover, the Galaxy Book4 series is set to incorporate Auto Switch functionality, which is aimed at simplifying the Bluetooth multi-pairing experience. When paired with two devices concurrently, this feature allows Android to automatically switch to the device receiving an incoming call. As a result, users can conveniently take calls without needing to pause or switch off the audio playing on the other device.
Samsung is set to launch these new capabilities as a part of an update roll-out starting at the end of February. The beneficiaries of this update will be the Galaxy Buds2 Pro, the Galaxy Buds2, and the Galaxy Buds FE, which are all designed to provide users with a more fluid and adaptable audio experience across Samsung devices.
