Samsung Enhances Connectivity with Bluetooth Auracast and 360 Audio for Devices

The Samsung Galaxy S24 series heralded the arrival of new tech advancements earlier this year, and now more Samsung devices are set to receive exciting upgrades. Samsung is expanding the Bluetooth Auracast feature, which was first introduced with the Galaxy S24, to older Galaxy smartphones. Additionally, the company is also enhancing the audio experience for its high-end smart TVs by introducing 360 Audio. Moreover, Galaxy Buds will benefit from the Auto Switch feature now extended to Samsung laptops.

Interpreter Mode Optimization with Galaxy Buds

Galaxy Buds are becoming more versatile as they gain new functionalities across Samsung’s ecosystem. A notable upgrade is the improved Interpreter mode on the Galaxy S24, now compatible with Galaxy Buds. This will allow users to hear translations directly in their ears while speaking through the Galaxy device’s speaker to another person. The convenience is further amplified by the ability to switch the speaking order with a simple tap on the Galaxy Buds.

Galaxy Phones to Offer Broad Bluetooth Audio Sharing with Auracast

One UI 5.1.1 saw the introduction of Bluetooth Auracast support for joining audio casts from other devices. Now, with One UI 6.1, selected Galaxy models including the S23 line and the upcoming Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5, will be able to create their own wireless audio broadcasts for compatible nearby devices through an upcoming software update.

Pairing your Galaxy Buds 2 or Galaxy Buds 2 Pro with these TVs will envelop you in a sound experience that tracks the movement of your head for a truly dynamic listening adventure.

Galaxy Buds’ Auto Switch feature, which already simplifies audio management across Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and TVs, now extends to the Galaxy Book 4 series laptops. This intuitive function allows the Galaxy Buds to switch from laptop audio to an incoming call on a smartphone, before automatically reconnecting to the laptop post-call. The feature is supported on the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and devices running One UI 4.1.1 or later, Galaxy Book laptops with Samsung Settings v6.0 or newer, and Galaxy Watch 4 or newer models.

These features reflect Samsung’s commitment to enhancing the interconnectedness and convenience of its ecosystem, providing users with seamless transitions and enriched experiences across their Galaxy devices.
