Robosen Unveils Fallen Leader Optimus Prime G1 for Transformers Movie Anniversary
Robosen has introduced a new limited-edition Optimus Prime robot collectible designed to honor the 40th anniversary of The Transformers: The Movie, the classic 1986 animated film that left a lasting mark on generations of Transformers fans.
The new release is officially named the Robosen Fallen Leader Optimus Prime G1. Unlike the company’s previous Optimus Prime robots, which feature the iconic red and blue Autobot design, this commemorative version takes inspiration from one of the most emotional moments in Transformers history: the fall of Optimus Prime.
To reflect that scene, Fallen Leader Optimus Prime G1 arrives in a battle-damaged black and gray finish. The figure is covered with detailed cracks, burns, scratches, bullet marks, and scars, giving it a darker and more dramatic appearance than the standard Optimus Prime models. It is clearly aimed at collectors who want a display piece with strong nostalgia and cinematic significance.
One of the biggest highlights is the inclusion of original voice work from Peter Cullen, the legendary voice of Optimus Prime. Fans can hear the character’s familiar commanding presence through the robot’s built-in audio features, making the collectible feel more authentic.
Like Robosen’s other advanced Transformers robots, Fallen Leader Optimus Prime G1 can automatically transform between robot mode and vehicle mode. The robot supports more than 50 voice commands, including familiar prompts such as “convert” and “attack.” Inside, it uses 50 microchips and 27 servo motors to handle movement, posing, and transformation sequences.
Owners can also control the robot through Robosen’s mobile app. The app allows users to operate the figure, download new actions, unlock hidden features, and install updates. For those who want to go further, Robosen Studio software for PC lets users create custom battle sequences and personalized movements.
Collectors who already own Robosen’s Flagship Megatron and Flagship Bumblebee models will be able to synchronize motion and dialogue to recreate classic Transformers battles. However, Robosen notes that the Fallen Leader Optimus Prime G1 is not compatible with the Elite Optimus Prime Trailer Kit.
The Robosen Fallen Leader Optimus Prime G1 is priced at $1,399, but early pre-orders are currently available at a promotional price of $400. Availability is limited, with only 1,000 units planned for North America. Pre-orders are scheduled to close on August 25, 2026, at 11:59 PM EDT.
Shipping is expected to begin in December 2026. Customers who place a pre-order will also receive a Robosen coaster as a free bonus gift.
For Transformers collectors, this limited-edition Optimus Prime robot stands out as both a high-tech toy and a tribute to one of the franchise’s most memorable moments. With auto-transforming features, Peter Cullen’s voice, app-based controls, and a dramatic battle-worn design, the Fallen Leader Optimus Prime G1 is likely to be one of the most sought-after Transformers collectibles of 2026.
