Retroid Unveils Official Pocket Nova Accessories to Upgrade Your Handheld Experience

Retroid Pocket Nova Accessories Announced: Cases, Grip, Buttons, Dock Support, and Dual-Screen Add-On

Retroid has introduced a new lineup of official accessories for the Retroid Pocket Nova, giving early buyers more ways to protect, customize, and expand the new Android gaming handheld. With the Pocket Nova now available for pre-order, users can choose from protective cases, replacement buttons, ergonomic shell options, a screen protector, and even accessories that add docking and dual-screen functionality.

One of the main accessories designed specifically for the Retroid Pocket Nova is the official Carrying Case. Priced at $10, this hard-shell case comes in black and is built to keep the handheld safe during travel. It includes raised areas to protect the thumbsticks, an internal strap to hold the device in place, a small inner pocket for extra accessories, and a removable wrist strap for easier carrying.

Retroid says the Carrying Case works with both the flat back shell and the bumped back shell. However, it does not support the Pocket Nova when the external TPU grip is attached.

For players who want a more comfortable grip during longer gaming sessions, Retroid is offering a TPU grip for $15. This grip is made for the Pocket Nova with the flat back shell installed. If you use the bumped back shell, the TPU grip may not be necessary, as the bumped shell is already designed to improve ergonomics. The TPU grip is available in Black, Purple, and Transparent versions.

Retroid is also selling a simple drawstring pouch for users who prefer a lighter storage option. At $5, the pouch offers a more compact way to carry the Pocket Nova compared to the hard case, making it a practical pick for those who want basic protection without extra bulk.

The Retroid Pocket Nova ships with a flat back shell by default, but customers who pre-order the handheld will receive a bumped back shell for free. This optional shell is designed to make the device more comfortable to hold, although it does make the handheld slightly less pocket-friendly. Retroid is also selling the bumped back shell separately for $5 in all seven Pocket Nova color options. The package includes four screws, a screwdriver, and a pick to help users remove the standard flat shell.

Customization is also part of the accessory lineup. Retroid is offering a full button set for $5, including the D-pad, ABXY buttons, Start, Select, Home, and Return buttons. The kit also comes with useful installation tools, including tweezers, two screwdrivers, a pick, and eight screws. Since the button set is available in all seven Pocket Nova colors, users can mix and match parts to create a more personalized look for their handheld.

A glass screen protector is also available for $5. Buyers who pre-order the Retroid Pocket Nova will receive the screen protector as a free gift, making it easier to protect the display from scratches right out of the box.

Retroid has also confirmed that two existing accessories will work with the Pocket Nova: the Retroid Dual Screen Add-on and the Retroid Official Dock. The Dual Screen Add-on costs $69 and gives the handheld a second display, which could be useful for compatible games, multitasking, or a more unique portable gaming setup.

The Official Dock is priced at $29 and turns the Pocket Nova into a more versatile home gaming device. It allows users to charge the handheld while connecting accessories such as an HDMI cable, Ethernet cable, and USB peripherals. This makes it easier to use the Pocket Nova with a TV or monitor while adding wired connectivity and extra input options.

With this accessory lineup, Retroid is clearly positioning the Pocket Nova as more than just another compact gaming handheld. Whether you want better protection, improved comfort, visual customization, TV output, or a dual-screen experience, the new accessories give buyers several ways to tailor the device to their play style.
