RedMagic is giving its ultra-thin gaming phone a fresh new look with the launch of the RedMagic 11 Air in a new “Trace” finish. The update arrives only about two months after the RedMagic 11 Air first rolled out globally, offering fans another option without changing what made the device stand out in the first place: flagship-level gaming performance packed into a remarkably slim body.
One of the biggest talking points remains the design. The RedMagic 11 Air measures just 8 mm thick, yet it still manages to fit a massive 7,000 mAh battery. That combination is rare in the gaming smartphone space, where big batteries often translate into bulky frames. RedMagic also positions the 11 Air as roughly 10% thinner than the RedMagic 11 Pro, making it a strong pick for players who want powerful hardware without a heavy, brick-like feel in the hand.
On the performance side, the RedMagic 11 Air is built around Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with speedy LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for fast app loading, smooth multitasking, and snappy game installs and updates. This setup is designed for high frame-rate mobile gaming, demanding emulation, and intensive shooters where sustained responsiveness matters.
The phone’s display also leans hard into gaming. You get a 6.85-inch AMOLED panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate and a sharp 431 PPI pixel density. The result should be fluid motion during gameplay and crisp text and graphics for everyday use, making the screen as appealing for scrolling and streaming as it is for competitive play.

That higher-end setup pushes the starting price to $599 / €599 / £529, which is more than the existing Phantom and Prism versions that start at $499 / €599 / £439 depending on the region.
For early buyers, RedMagic is including a complimentary phone stand with Trace pre-orders. Global shipping is expected to begin on April 14, giving interested shoppers a clear timeline if they’re planning an upgrade or want a thinner gaming phone with a large battery and flagship specs.
