RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro Launching June 30 With OLED Display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and PC Game Emulation
RedMagic is preparing to introduce its next high-performance gaming tablet, the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro, in China on June 30, 2026. A global release is also expected to follow soon after, making this one of the more anticipated Android gaming tablets of the year.
Ahead of the official launch, RedMagic has revealed early gaming performance figures for the device, giving mobile gamers a preview of what to expect from its powerful hardware and gaming-focused cooling system.
According to the company, the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro can deliver an average frame rate of 184 FPS in CrossFire with HD graphics settings and high refresh rate mode enabled. In Delta Force, the tablet reportedly reaches an average of 165 FPS under similar conditions. During 60-minute test sessions, the 1% low frame rates were said to be 168 FPS and 157 FPS, respectively, suggesting stable performance over extended gameplay.
RedMagic also tested a large open-world game on the tablet. In that scenario, the device reportedly maintained an average of 60 FPS over a full hour of gameplay, with a 1% low of 59 FPS. While these numbers sound promising, they come directly from the manufacturer, so real-world independent testing will be needed to confirm how the tablet performs in everyday gaming conditions.
At the heart of the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which will be paired with RedMagic’s Core R4 gaming chip. This dual-chip setup is designed to improve gaming performance through additional optimization, smoother frame rates, and better system responsiveness during demanding titles.
Cooling is another major focus. The tablet will feature a water-cooling system combined with an active cooling fan, a setup aimed at reducing thermal throttling during long gaming sessions. This could be especially useful for players who regularly play competitive shooters, open-world games, or other graphically demanding mobile titles.
The display is also expected to be one of the tablet’s biggest highlights. RedMagic has confirmed a 9.06-inch OLED screen with a peak brightness rating of 1,600 nits. That should make the tablet well-suited for vivid visuals, deep contrast, and smooth gameplay, especially when paired with high refresh rate support.
Another notable feature is built-in PC game emulation. Similar to RedMagic’s previous gaming tablet, the new model will come with a PC emulator pre-installed. RedMagic says the emulator will support Steam games, and the tablet is also expected to include a desktop-style mode, potentially making it more versatile for players who want a portable gaming and productivity device in one package.
The RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro is shaping up to be a serious option for mobile gaming enthusiasts. With a compact OLED display, flagship-level Snapdragon hardware, a dedicated gaming chip, active cooling, and PC game support, it appears designed to bridge the gap between Android gaming tablets and handheld gaming PCs.
