RedMagic is gearing up to launch its next flagship Android gaming tablet, and there’s now a clearer idea of when it will arrive. The company has confirmed that the upcoming device will be called the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro, and it’s expected to debut very soon in China, with an international version planned for release afterward.
According to Jiang Chao, a senior executive at the brand, the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro is scheduled to launch in April or May. While he didn’t share an exact date, he suggested that fans should stay tuned for the official announcement and hinted that the final product will be worth the wait.
One of the biggest pieces of news for global buyers is that the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro is confirmed to be getting an international release, just like the previous model. Last year’s RedMagic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro later launched outside China under a different name, so it’s possible the new tablet could also be rebranded for global markets.
Looking at the brand’s previous rollout timing, the worldwide launch may follow a couple of months after the China debut. If the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro arrives in April or May, an international announcement could potentially land around June or July, though RedMagic hasn’t locked in that schedule publicly yet.
As for what’s new, early reports point to several notable upgrades aimed squarely at gamers and power users. The RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro is said to feature an OLED display with an ultra-high refresh rate, a move that could improve motion clarity and responsiveness for fast-paced games. It’s also rumored to include an advanced cooling setup using PC-grade materials for stronger thermal management, which is especially important for maintaining performance during long gaming sessions. On top of that, the tablet is expected to debut a new user interface, potentially tailored to gaming features and performance controls.
Pricing hasn’t been revealed, but a higher cost is possible. With component prices—especially memory and storage—often fluctuating upward, the next-gen model could arrive with a price increase compared to its predecessor.
For now, the key takeaway is simple: the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro is approaching quickly, it’s expected in April or May for its first release, and a global version is officially on the way shortly after.
